new song I am working on
Your power and anointing is what I long for, Your power and anointing is what I need... In this crazy world of ups and downs, I find in You a solid ground.. Please send Your Power and anointing down to me. ~ LP

Word Weavers Contest winners Awards Ceremony
Tonight (Thursday May 26th, 2011) was our 6th annual Awards Ceremony. This was held at City Hall at 6 PM. We were sorry that our President of our group (Adrienne Riggs was unable to make it but happy that her reason was a new grandson, Aiden. Margaret Payne, our Secretary, also was unable to make it due to a back injury doing Yoga). However our vice president, John Harris was there and so was our trusty Treaurer Val (who does an awesome job with refreshments), and Al Price who brought yummy smelling meat and cheese rolls. We had a pretty good turn out. All of the winners, except two were able to make it and brought friends and family with them. I took a few photo's not sure how good they are, but will post them anyway.

Poem I wrote today (Sat May 21st)
it is a beautiful and rare thing, when I have nothing to say.....
but oh oh Lord, You take my breath away...
when I am in Your presence, there is beauty all around
for only the brush of Angels wings are there to make a sound

Word Weavers Writers Retreat
Word weavers writers retreat was this past Saturday at Chicksaw State Park. We had to have it inside the restrauant because it was damp and misting, but we had a good time. Adriene, Glen, Al, Val, Algene, Me, and John were there. We each wrote something and then shared our stories. I wrote two letters, one to Marilyn Tollerson and one to my pen pal Barbara. I read the Barbara's to the group as it told about Uncle Carls death, about how God is blessing my music lessons and how I was at writers retreat. they enjoyed my letter and I know Barbara will too.
it was a gr8 time. we had lunch there. I had sweet potaote fries, earlier I had requested a side of bacon.

Had a email from Publish America...
had an email in my hotmail account from Publish America saying that if I didn't proceed with my book publishing contract soon I would be in breech of contract. so yes, I immediately replied telling them that I must have missed their messages previously as I have been wondering about the progress on my romance novel. So... looks like I might be getting it published this year. I hope so....

STOP. PAUSE. REFLECT.
2. Describe the contents of his/her pockets, handbag, briefcase or backpack: i.e., the items that are always with him/her.

3. Choose an emotion. Write about your character in a situation where your chosen emotion predominates. Allow the character to use at least one thing that he has in his/her pockets, handbag, briefcase or backpack to aid him/her in this situation.
